Farm to Table

Wednesday, June 26 2019

As another bountiful Gabriola growing season falls upon us, preparations for our beautiful Farm to Table Feast are well underway. Our event, which celebrates and promotes local food security and supports our local economy and community-building initiatives, will be held September 7 at the Gabriola Commons. Dinner tickets include a three-course meal using all locally grown food prepared on Gabriola, plus alcohol sourced from Vancouver Island producers available for sale. Dinner is followed by live music and dancing.

Each year our event raises funds to help support projects in our community. This year we are pleased to be raising funds in support of the Gabriola Commons water reservoir project. Water sustainability is an important goal for the Commons ensuring their food and allotment gardens continue to thrive and feed local families. As the Commons continues to open their arms to many community events including ours, we love being able to show our appreciation by supporting them and this important project.

The Gabriola Farm to Table Feast is a well-loved family event and tickets always go fast. Please don’t delay in getting yours this year. Dinner tickets go on sale Monday, July 1,and will be available at North Road Sports and Colleen’s. Tickets are $45 for adults, $20 for children aged 7-14 years and free for children 6 and under.

Dessert and concert tickets will be available again this year starting August 1.

We are looking forward to seeing you September 7. Our thanks to our wonderful community for continuing to support local agriculture all summer long at the Gabriola Farmers Market and at roadside farm stands.
