The Gabriola Arts Council will be painting the Ferry Hill hydro poles Sunday, July 15. Members of the public are invited to come down to help. Those interested in helping are asked to meet at the Agi Hall. GAC will be looking for volunteers to assist the artists with painting, holding ladders, directing traffic and fetching refreshments. Kathy Ramsey, in a release  to the public said, “Feel free to bring musical instruments, juggling balls, hula hoops ... let your freak flag fly! Let’s celebrate the artistic community of this unique little piece of paradise we all call home.”
She added, “The bumps in the road that have gotten us to this point have kind of thrown the original budget out the window (as you might have guessed!). Donations to the Pole Painting Project – Gabriola Arts Council can be dropped off at the Gabriola Arts Council Office (in the back of Artworks). Thanks for all your support everyone!”
