If it doesn’t fit you right, and it doesn’t work right, you won’t ride it! Is your bike working for you, is it appropriate for you and the type of riding you do? Are you a bicycle user who wants to learn how to keep that wonderful machine of yours operating efficiently? Hub City Cycles aim to teach you to become more self-sufficient in your pedal-poweredness.
The Gabriola Island Chamber of Commerce, the Commons and Hub City Cycles Community Co-operative are presenting a workshop on Monday, Aug. 13, 1-3 p.m.
In this introductory course you will learn the basics of bicycle maintenance, including oiling and replacing chains, patching tubes, changing tires, adjusting brakes and gears, riding efficiently, and how to know when your bike needs service so you can prevent expensive damage to your bike. Bring your questions and your bike!
