Dramatically-inclined? The upcoming Gabriola Scriptwriting Circle, beginning February 17th, is your chance to work on a play, screenplay, or other type of script as part of a supportive community of island writers.

The Scriptwriting Circle is led by internationally-produced writer, VIU Creative Writing instructor, and island resident Frank Moher. “Everyone from beginners to seasoned authors who might like to try their hand at something new are welcome,” says Frank. The workshop uses a combination of meet-ups every two weeks at Full Circle Creative and online work to keep members inspired and productive. It will end with a public presentation of excerpts from some of the scripts written, using island actors.

TV, radio and webisodic scripts are also welcome. “”My job is to really focus in on what each writer is working on, and make sure they’re getting what they need, whatever their level of experience.”

The cost for the 10-week workshop is $200, payable in two installments. For more information and to register, visit frankmoher.com or phone 250-247-9216.
