By invitation from British Columbia’s Lieutenant Governor Judith Guichon, Gabriola’s Island Singers will perform their tributes to Canada on July 1 at Government House during a citizenship ceremony.

The choir will sing three compositions written by music director Gail Lund celebrating Canada’s 150th Anniversary, two of which won the Lieutenant Governor’s Sing Me a Song competition in the Open Category in 2015 and 2016.

“We are so honoured to sing at this ceremony in Victoria,” remarks Gail. “The invitation is a delightful surprise for us and it will be a memorable experience to perform for some of Canada’s newest citizens on July 1.”
