It’s that exciting time of the year when local and off-island artists and art lovers come out to play! Experience Gabriola’s creativity and energy in this 10-day festival, with over 60 workshops and 7 events over 10 artsy days!

Registration started with a bang—lineups out the door and workshops selling out more quickly than ever. And there’s still room to register and join in on the fun! Writing, Kitchen Arts, Karate, Textiles, Photography, Stamps, Tarot Cards, Rattles, Upcycled Bears, and so much more. And don’t miss the literary event of the year with critically acclaimed writers, great music, delicious food, and a beautiful sunset.

Our luscious landscape and precious environment offers much beauty and provides great inspiration for our socially engaged community artists who—through words, music, paint, and other expressive tools—expand our thinking about how we live, work, and play. In recognition of this year’s theme—community-driven art—we are bringing world-renowned, community-based textile installation artist Martha Cole to Gabriola from Saskatchewan with her All Beings Confluence workshop and interactive exhibit.

We have family drop-in events—the Paper Crane project and the Easter Bonnet parade (right before the Easter Egg Hunt at the Commons)—and all the festival favourites are back: Blossom Night Market (with a youth lantern parade!), the Artist’s Toolkit (a day of professional development), free workshops for kids at the Elementary School, and the Artist Appreciation BBQ to finish off the Festival.

For more information or to register for a workshop, visit or call 247-7409. See you there!
