Thurs., Dec. 6 - Gabriola Garden Club has a presentation by Connie Kuramoto on the topic of: Preparing Your Garden For Climate Change. Rollo Centre:  Doors open 6:30 pm ; Meeting : 7:00 pm

Thurs., Dec. 6 - Comedy Night at the Roxy with locals Kerry Unger and Gerry Stefanson with headliner Anna Gustafson. (formerly of Lund, BC). Doors open at 7pm. Show at 7:30pm.  Tickets $15 in advance at North Road Sports. Tickets at the door $20.

Fri., Dec. 7 - The Kerplunks release party for Lullabies For Big Eyes, their already award-winning hour-long sleep opus. Also; world premier of Learn Make Play (the band’s miniseries pilot episode, Cake), Clever Trever, and the Lullabies Video Project. Sat., Dec. 8 - Skol Comedy Night. 8pm. $5 cover or bring donation for food bank.

Sun., Dec. 9 - Come out and enjoy the Gabriola Island Singers Christmas Concert with music director Gail Lund; 2:30pm. Original works by Gabriolans; special guests Gabriola Brass and The Lunds’men. One performance only takes place at the Community Hall. Admission is $15 at the door; children 12 and under are free. Refreshments during intermission.

Mon., Dec 10 - Human Rights Day - Come join Amnesty International’s Writeathon at Mad Rona’s from 10am to 3pm. Write a letter, save a life.

Tues., Dec 11 - Studio Tour artist celebration and debrief meeting. Celebrate another awesome year and give input for next. New artists welcome. 6:30pm, Gabriola Arts & Heritage Centre.

Wed., Thurs. & Fri., Dec. 12, 13 & 14 – FRIDAY SHOW ADDED - Twilight Radio Theatre  Presents It’s A Wonderful Life a Live Radio Drama, starring Chris Jans, Kathy McIntyre, David Botten, Adam Kerby and special guest: Jocelyn Hallett, at the Surf Lodge. 7:30pm.
