Fri., Feb. 17 - NFB Film: Things Arab Men Say (2015). 11 am. At a time when mass media often depicts Arab culture in reductive and negative terms, the Edmonton-based Egyptian-Canadian filmmaker Nisreen Baker has set out to fashion a more nuanced portrait of her own immediate immigrant community. Free, drop in at the Gabriola Library.

Wed., Feb. 22 - Frogs, Toads, or Salamanders in your pond? Habitat Management For Amphibians And Reptiles. The GaLTT AGM has been rescheduled. At the Roxy. Doors open at 6.30 for member registration. Our guest speaker Elke Wind will be introduced at 7pm, to talk about “Habitat Management for Amphibians and Reptiles”. Thurs., Mar. 16 - Gabriola Naloxone (Narcan) workshop. 1:15-3pm upstairs @The Commons. The training and kits are free, but you need to register.  At the end of the training you’ll get a Naloxone kit.
