Sat., Jan. 12 - Author talk with Cynthia J. Faryon. 2 pm at the Library. Join us as welcome local author, ghost writer, and Canadian historian Cynthia J. Faryon, who will be delivering a presentation on how to engage a traditional publisher. Free, drop in. Everyone welcome.

Mon., Jan 14 - the Gabriola Chamber Ensemble (GCE) extends an invitation to anyone on Gabriola to join us for some classical music fun at the GCE seasonal appetizer/dessert potluck at 6pm at Christ Church.

Wed., Jan. 16 - Family Movie Night at the Gabriola Library. 5 pm. We’ll be watching a family-friendly movie on the big screen, complete with popcorn. Free, drop in. Everyone welcome.

Sat., Jan. 26 - Lulu presents Visions 20-21, Roger Admiral, piano. At the Phoenix Auditorium, The Haven. 2:15 pre-concert introduction. 3pm concert. Advance tickets $25 at North Road Sports and Clothing / $30 at the door. $5 for Youth (16 and under)

Thurs., Jan. 31 - Fibre Arts Circle at the Library. 2-4 pm. Bring your projects and enjoy an afternoon of tea and crafting with other fibre enthusiasts. Beginners and newcomers welcome. Free, drop in.

Peer Led Exercise Group Winter Schedule, Classes start week of  Jan 7.  Mon & Wed @ Hope Centre 11am-12pm. Tues & Thurs at Gabriola Rec Office 11am-12pm. Fri @ Community Hall, 10:45am – 11:45am. Drop-in fee $2. This circuit-style exercise program is safe and supportive for those who are managing chronic health conditions.
