Fork Off; Animals, Art And Advocacy Art Show at Waterfront Gallery in Ladysmith (610 Oyster Bay Drive). Runs daily 11-4 till June 30 with talk by Sheila Norgate @ 2pm on Sat., June 29. Artists include: Dianna Bonder, Heather Cameron, Tammy Hudgeon, Caroline James, Judy Mountjoy, Leslie Norgate, Sheila Norgate, Zena Rogak and Mia Tremblay.

Thurs., June 27 - Fibre Arts Circle at the Library. 2-4 pm. Bring your projects and enjoy an afternoon of tea and crafting with other fibre enthusiasts. Beginners and newcomers welcome. Free, drop in. 

Thurs., June 27 - Seniors Monthly Luncheon. 10:30am – 12:30pm at the Rollo Centre. June is Elder Abuse Awareness Month & Constable Mark Hilland of the Gabriola RCMP will be talking about how you can protect yourself from elder abuse. All seniors welcome! Sat., June 29 - Strawberry Tea at Christ Church Gabriola, 2600 South Rd. 2-4pm. Fresh strawberries and cream. $7pp.  Bake Sale too!

Mon., July 1 - Canada Day Potato Cannons as hosted by the Gabriola Rod, Gun, and Conservation Club at Brickyard Beach. Lineup and Register between 12pm and 12:45pm. Cannons start firing at 1pm.

Wed., July 3 - Family Movie Matinee. The Gabriola Library is showing a family-friendly movie on their big screen, complete with popcorn! Free to drop in . Everyone welcome. 3:30pm to 5:30pm.

Wed., July 3, 17, and 31 - Preschool Storytime at the Gabriola Library. Drop in with your little one for fun stories, songs, and rhymes. Stay after for visiting and DUPLO block play time. Best suited for ages 5yo and younger with parents and caregivers. 10:30am-12pm.

Fri., July 5 to Sun., July 7 - The  GroupofSeveral.com “Show of Art” at the Gabriola Arts Council Hall, 476 South Rd. Friday 7-9 pm. Saturday/Sunday 11-5pm

Fri., Sat. & Sun. July 5-7 – Love’s Labour’s Lost. Gabriola Players performs three staged readings of Shakespeare’s comedy at the Commons. Fri. & Sat. at 6pm, Sun. at 2pm. Tickets $15 (50% goes to PHC) at North Road Sports or online at gabriolaplayers.ca

Wed., July 10 and 24 - Family Playtime at the Gabriola Library. our librarian is away and it’s time to play! There’s no storytime, but we’re welcoming littles to drop by the library for some play and visiting time with others. Free. Drop in.
