Featuring William Deverell, Dr. Sonnet L’Abbé, Joan MacLeod, and Jill Talbot and hosted by Susan Yates. The work of these four diverse and extraordinary writers will ἀll your soul. Sun., Apr. 3 - Gabriola Chamber Ensemble presents “All In The April Evening,” its premier performance under the direction of Brad Shipley, featuring Pergolesi’s Magnificat, a medley of African songs, orchestral masterpieces by Mozart, and a variety of cultural selections. 5pm, at Gabriola United Church. Tickets $15 at the door; children 10 & under free with adult.

Tuesdays - Library Lego Club. (Cancelled for March 22 and 29, resumes April 5) 3-4:30 pm. Drop-in free play Lego time. Best suited for children 6 – 12 years.

Wednesdays - Family Storytime at the Library. (Cancelled for March 22 and 29, resumes April 5) 10:30-11 am. Favourite stories, songs, and rhymes! For children birth to 5 years. Drop in.

Thursdays - Compassionate Connections – ‘A safe place to talk about hard things’ – Sharing & listening. Sunday, August 7: Annual Brickyard Beast 10km Run. The toughest 10km road run in Canada!

Saturday, August 13: Annual Salmon BBQ at the Gabriola Island Community Hall. 4pm to 7pm. All funds raised support the Gabriola Island Community Hall Association
