Wed., May 27 - The Honourable Judith Guichon, Lieutenant Governor of British Columbia, will visit Gabriola to present $1,000 and a trophy to Director Gail Lund and the Gabriola Island Singers, for their winning contest submission of “Happy Birthday Canada”. The community is invited to join in the celebration; hear a special performance and enjoy some light refreshments at the Community Hall at 7:15.

Wed., May 27 - Lulu turns 10! presents Cycles: A Journey in Four Acts featuring Paul Gellman and a stellar cast. 7:30pm at the Phoenix. Thurs., Aug. 6 - Gabriola Lions’ Club Concert on the Green. Gabriola Golf Course. 4pm. The biggest fundraiser of the year for the Lions’ with roughly 1,500 people on the driving range of the Golf Club enjoying the music, food and dog days of summer weather.

While every day is a celebration of art on this lush and lively island, on Thanksgiving weekend the festivities reach dizzying heights. Island artists throw open their studio doors to tempt your senses with dazzling arrays of art!
