Sat., Nov. 24 - Introduction to eBooks. 2 p.m. at the Gabriola Public Library. Learn step-by-step how to download eBooks onto your computer or eReader.

Sat., Nov. 24 - Victor Anthony & Portia Boehm in Concert. A night of old-time & traditional roots music. The show will include chestnuts from the Golden Era, as well as some obscure numbers from the backroads of the American South. Theatre Centre, 1475 Peterson Rd. Tix $15 @ Artworks. Thurs., Nov. 29 - The Gabriola Island Friends of the Library are pleased to present an evening with bestselling author, Lilian Nattel. Nattel is the author of Web of Angels, The River Midnight and The Singing Fire. At the Gabriola branch of the Vancouver Island Regional Library. 6:30-8 p.m.

Thurs., Nov. 29 -Wine Pairing Dinner @ Woodfire. 6:30 p.m. Come and enjoy a whole new experience on Gabriola. An exquisite six-course taster menu expertly paired by Michael and Alanna with six wines, all for $75 per head. Michael and Alanna will be on hand to chat about the wines, or you can simply sit back, relax and be prepared to be pampered. This is a ticketed event so you must pre-book your tickets – 250-247-0095. Woodfire will stay open for takeout, but the restaurant will not be open for regular dining.

Fri., Nov. 30 - Coffeehouse on Gabriola featuring the Jugbandits! 7:30 p.m. - open stage, 9 p.m. feature. The Haven Lodge - $5. It’s like Vaudeville. It sounds like your neighbours’ kids are playing with the kitchenware, but they have older voices, singing sounds like the Deep South. There might even be a harmony in there somewhere.

Sat., Dec. 1 - Gabriola Commons Craft Fair. 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Sat., Dec. 1 - Gabriola Elementary School Christmas Craft Fair and fundraiser. Includes a cookie walk, silent auction, Christmas dinner basket raffle, kids art room with two magic shows, concession by Silva Bay Restaurant and 40 local vendors. Open from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. at the elementary school. Everyone welcome.

Saturdays - Teen Night at the Gathering Place from 7 p.m. to midnight.
