Wed., Oct. 21 - Family Movie Night at the Library. 5-7 pm. We’ll be watching Despicable Me 2 on the big screen, complete with popcorn. Drop in.

Thurs., Oct. 22 - The Beautiful Miller and The Mountain Maid. Barbara Ebbeson –mezzo soprano and Alison Nishihara – pianist perform Schubert’s “Die Schöne Müllerin” and Grieg’s “Av Haugtussa”, a  pairing of some of the world’s most beautiful music. Sung in german and norwegian. Come and enjoy these two gorgeous song cycles written 100 years apart, with two beautiful maidens, two handsome men, two broken hearts and a stream. 7:30 pm at the Phoenix Auditorium (at the Haven). Thurs., Oct. 22 - PHC Senior’s Luncheon held at the Rollo Centre. Doors open at 10:30 am. This month Naomi Wakan will be entertaining us. Lunch is served at 11:30 am. Please come and enjoy some good food and camaraderie with your friends and neighbours. Donations gratefully accepted at door.
