Wed., Nov. 1 - Keepers of the Fire, 7 pm, The Roxy. Truth to Reconciliation Speaker Series presents a film and discussion about Indigenous “warrior women” defending land, culture and people. Part of the NFB’s Aabiziingwashi (Wide Awake): Indigenous Cinema on Tour.

Thurs., Nov. 2 - Gabriola Garden Club will be having a presentation by guest speaker Walter Pinnow from Green Thumb Nursery. Topics include fall colour, cleanup, and ponds.  Rollo Centre:  Doors 7:00 / Meeting 7:30. Everyone welcome.

Sat., Nov. 4 - Death Café at the Library. A Death Café is a group directed discussion of death with no agenda, objectives, or themes. Space is limited. Please call the library at 250-247-7878 to sign up.

Sat., Nov. 4 - Lulu presents: Phil Dwyer (tenor sax and piano), and Brad Turner (trumpet and piano), jazz duo perform at 2pm at the Phoenix Auditorium. This is a must see concert! Advance tickets $20 at North Road Sports, $5 Youth 16 & under, $25 at the door.

Sat., Nov. 18 - Christmas Craft Fair at the Commons & Rollo Centre. 10am-3pm.
