Wed., Sept. 13 - Trick or Treaty? Film Screening at the Library. 1 pm. Join members of Gabriola’s local chapter of Amnesty International for this free NFB film screening, marking the 10th Anniversary of the United Nations Declaration of the Rights of Indigenous Peoples. Free, drop in.

Fri., Sept. 15 and Sat., Sept. 16 - She’s Come Undone: self portraits by women. Gabriola Arts and Heritage Centre. 476 South Rd. Opening Fri. Sept. 15 from 7-9pm, running through Sat. Sept 16, 11-4pm. Most artists present Sat. between 2-4pm.

Sat., Sept. 16 - Gabriola Vegeteers present Called to Rescue. A free community film screening at the Library. Everyone welcome. Called to Rescue showcases the people providing sanctuary for farm animals saved from the modern animal agricultural production system. 2pm. 

Sun., Sept. 17 - Terry Fox Run at Twin Beaches (Gabriola Sands Provincial Park). Signup opens at 9:30am. Run starts at 11am. 1k, 5k and 10K. Open to all ages and abilities.

Fri., Sept. 22 - Signup for the Gabriola Elementary School PAC Craft Fair. 9am to Noon. (first come first signed up) at the Elementary School. The Craft Fair will be held on Saturday, December 2.
