On Sunday, Oct. 21 if you were not a participant or witness you may have felt a witchiness in the air as over 20 women brought to Gabriola Island their inner witch.
In the fun of celebrating Halloween, Lisa of Lisarey Photography hosted and photographed Gabriola Island’s first annual Gabriola Witch Project. Ladies ranging between the ages of 25 and 69 from the island as well as Nanaimo all joined together creating quite a stir on our quiet rock. The witches carpooled around the island taking pictures in the Tunnel, at Elder Cedar Forest, the old Silva House at Silva Bay and ended the day at Entrance Island at Berry Point. Lisa said the day was so much fun that all the ladies who participated did so with an over abundance of enthusiasm, each creating and dressing in amazing costumes.
Lisa said she has been wanting to do this for several years and couldn’t believe the positive response and the amount of ladies wanting to participate. Due to popular demand Lisa also did an Alberni Witch Project using the Mclean Mill as her creative background and another at the fabulous Neck Point in Nanaimo.
Lisa is looking forward to doing another Halloween photography project next year.
