Calling all ‘Friends of the Gabriola Library’
Let’s add to our programs and services!

We know that most Gabriolans use and appreciate our excellent little library.
We also know the library needs support and help. As members of a ‘Friends of the Library’ group, we want to sponsor author and speaker talks, provide little extras that increase the comfort and services the library can offer our community and create programs to enhance literacy and children’s love of reading.
The first project of this newly formed group is to hold a huge and wonderful book sale at the Surf Pub on Sunday, November 30, 11-3. We’ll use the proceeds to bring someone like Raffi to the island early next year.
But, we need lots more members and lots of help!
1. Donations of books – adult and children’s - in good condition.
2. Help collecting donations.
3. Help sorting and organizing.
4. Help setting up, selling, and taking down at the book sale.
