    There has to be a more logical approach by DFO in its attempts to enhance the local orca populations than the one that is being presented. So far, all they have done is cut back chinook limits to sport anglers, and closed large sport fishing areas down.

    Vancouver Island Regional Library (VIRL) has removed a significant barrier to give more children access to our important literacy resources. As of January 1, 2019, all fines on children’s materials have been eliminated, and all outstanding fines waived.

    The chum commercial fleet is still out en masse, as of November 3. Either the run size is larger than predicted, or DFO is playing a dangerous game continuing this fishery this long.
