As of April 7th, there has still been no announcement on Chinook retention in Area 17 for April through July. Hopefully, we will have a positive report soon!

Chinook fishing has been slow this week, but should come around in about two weeks as the Chinook start their migration through our waters. At that time offshore fishing in 600 to 800 feet of water depths is most productive.  Downrigger depths run 120 to 180 feet. Lures of promise include spoons in Evil Eye, Pink Sink, Kitchen Sink, glow green/white, or hoochies in T-Rex or Blue Meany.

Prawning is still good off the Flat tops. Same old, same old, tuna cat food at 350 feet.

Good fishing!
