I was in Vancouver for Christmas, so I have no direct news concerning the Chinook fishery, but this is what various people have reported. Thrasher has apparently temporarily slowed, with only the occasional fish being caught. Grande to waterfall has the odd legal sized fish, combined with some undersized in the mix. Neck Point/The Fingers still has lots of undersized fish in the 20 to 23 inch range, with the occasional legal fish being caught. Lures remain the same: Clear green scale Rhys Davis teasers with anchovy, spoons in Silver/Blue or Evil Eye, or the T-Rex hoochie. Downriggers depths run 140 to 180 feet, in 160 to 180 feet of water.

Prawning remains good off the Flat Tops in depths of 350 to 400 feet. Remember to toss back the mature spawning females!

Happy New Year, and good fishing!
