Jack reports slow fishing off Neck Point, The Fingers, and Northumberland. However, Thrasher and Tent Island continue to be hot. When fishing Thrasher, the “Hook” is producing best, in close to the “Rock” in 150 to 175 feet of water. Some of the fish are weighing up into the low teens. Bait in Rhys Davis teasers, the Killy MaGee or Evil Eye spoons, or the T-Rex hoochie are working nicely. Tent Island is holding the fish on the 80 to 100 foot hump, and there are lots of undies, and some very substantial fish there. Let’s hope this trend continues through the winter! So far. this has been the polar opposite of last winters dreary fishing.

Prawning is good off the Flat tops. Try tuna cat food on the 350 foot contour for best results.

All the best in 2017!
