Chinook fishing has been relatively strong this week. The Flat Tops, Grande, Thrasher and the Fingers have all been producing fish in the 7 to 20 pound range. Water depths range 150 to 200 feet, with downrigger depths ranging 120 to 160 feet. Lures of note include: bait in Rhys Davis teasers in green/chartreuse, spoons in Cop Car, Kitchen Sink, Evil Eye, Killy McGee, or hoochies in T-Rex or Blue Meany. Clyde has been having a ball jigging chinook to 18 pounds off the Fingers on small Perkins.

There are a few coho around the Flat Tops and Thrasher, with larger concentrations off the Fingers. The larger ones weigh five pounds now, and are lovely fish.

Ling fishing is productive off Entrance and Gabriola Reef. Try large plastics, bait or jigs in the 35 to 70 foot water depths.

Good fishing!
