There were very few people fishing this week, myself included. Steve tried Clyde’s hotspot for Coho, and only caught immatures. People trolling for Chinook reported the same thing. I did hear rumour of an enormous Chinook that popped a leader hooked off the Grande. There is the very occasional late running Harrison fish traveling through, and they can top out at 40 pounds. Generally these around found off the mouth of the Fraser in early October.

The Chums will pile through for a while. Try small pink/purple hoochies fished on short leaders. When I asked a commercial troller how to catch these locally, he said “buy a gillnetter”.

Prawning is still good.

Good fishing!
