We had some fantastic trips aboard the Silver Blue this past week, but there is the occasional hiccup as the Chinook continue to head for their rivers of origin. Hopefully some new fish will pass through this week! I have been fishing the Grande in the shallows, with the downrigger at 75 to 85 feet. Cookies and Cream or the Cop Car have been primary lures. There is the occasional Chinook being taken at Thrasher, Entrance, and the Fingers, also. Jigging seems to have dramatically fallen off at Entrance and the Fingers. although Entrance Reef is sometimes worth the trip.

The Coho have thinned out, also. We are encountering Coho about every third trip. Almost all of these are wild fish, some weighing 8 to 12 pounds.

There are still a few Pinks off Entrance. Try small pink hoochies fished on 24 inch leaders at 80 to 180 feet.

Prawning is still great off the Flat Tops. There was an orange parade of buoys over the Labour Day Weekend! Remember to release the female spawners!

Good fishing!
