Chinook fishing has been productive at Entrance, and occasionally at the Grande. Try fishing the gap or outside Entrance Reef at 150 to 200 feet with the Kitchen Sink spoon, or T-Rex hoochie. Bottom bouncing the Grande at 130 to 160 is also effective. The Chinook are starting to darken already, they will be going to the rivers soon.

The Coho have returned to Entrance in good numbers, also. They are beautiful fish, 6 to 7 pounds. I have been trolling them as deep as 200 feet, but Jimmy jigged some off Entrance Reef at 20 to 30 feet. This is the ultimate way to catch them, on jigs and light tackle!

Ling and Rockfish are present at Gabriola and Entrance Reef. Medium herring on slider rigs is the way to go.

Prawning is excellent off the Flat Tops.

Good fishing!
