Gabriola Golf Results for July 23
Tuesday was a beautiful day to play regular golf and we had 20 ladies playing 18 holes and 1 playing 9 holes. The chip-in was won by Timmy Proudfoot and the low net was won by Dyan Farley with a 70. Low gross was won by Claire Lefebvre with a 98. A good day!
Men’s day was overcast and so were most of our scores. Some off-island players increased our numbers to 33. In the low section John Cox’s gross 85 won by retrogression over Brendan Footes. Jim Prundy got low net with a 70. Bob Russell gross 85, Bob Gillen net 67 won in the high handicap section. Ray MacNeil had the K.P. on hole 16. Bob Russell also won a special prize for overall low net. Pool winners were Jim Prunty net 70, Ross Alexsich, 71 in the low section and Bob Russell, 64 and Bob Gillen, 67 in the high group.
