Life can be hectic, and sometimes we can lose our focus - want to know how to feel better, right now?

Living Life to the Full is being offered on Gabriola.

This enjoyable, interactive course introduces the principles of cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) and will shed a light on feelings and what to do about them.

In eight enjoyable 90-minute sessions, one per week, this course helps people to make a difference to their lives.

Participants are taught how to deal with their feelings when fed up, worried or hopeless, and to learn skills that help them tackle life’s problems.

The course includes activities designed to engage participants at their comfort level, and inspire them to shift how they respond to stresses in their lives.

Living Life to the Full was created by Dr. Chris Williams, a psychiatrist and expert in cognitive behavioural therapy.

The course is based on cognitive behavioural principles, and is suitable for people who want to maximize their ability to deal with life’s challenges. The Canadian Mental Health Association BC Division (CMHA BC) has the exclusive license for Living Life to the Full in Canada.

In a collaboration between the Gabriola Child and Youth Mental Health and Substance Use Collaborative; the Nanaimo branch of the CMAH and the HOPE Centre; and People for a Healthy Community, Living Life to The Full will run October 11- November 29, 2017, on Wednesdays at 6:30 p.m. at the HOPE Centre.
