Village Food Market and the PAC
With the very generous involvement of Village Food Market, Gabriolans used a Community Card to buy their groceries and 5 per cent of the amount placed on each card was donated by Village Foods to Gabriola Elementary School. This money will be used to purchase a new video screen for the gymnasium this spring.
The PAC is grateful to Village Foods and to our community for their contributions. It took 30 people 1 1/2 years to meet this goal in a very passive but positive and hugely impacting manner. We invite more community members to load up Community Cards and enrich the educational experiences of GES students. Stop by Village Foods, pre-load a card with a minimum of $100 and use the card like cash. It is so easy and it makes a big difference to the children of your island.
