On April 10, 2015, between 1am and 8am, the Surf Pub, Skol Pub, a rental property on Berry Point Rd, and two vehicles in between, had items stolen from them. The Skol Pub had an exterior shed broken open and some non-alcoholic beer taken, while the Surf pub had some liquor bottles taken. In the Surf lodge incident a vehicle parked outside was also rummaged through and it appears the suspect/s went inside and were then accidentally locked in by the owner. The suspect/s then had to “break out” of the business in order to make their escape. Forensic evidence has been seized for examination and the investigation is ongoing.
