Re-opening of Library delayed
The expanded Gabriola Library will not be opening now until the end of August, according to Joy Adams Bauer with the Vancouver Island Regional Library system.
Earlier this summer VIRL had said it hoped to have the expanded branch in Folklife Village open for July.
Joy said the issue is a delay with new shelving.
“I have found out that unfortunately we have a delay with the shelving for the branch. It will not open before the end of August. Our official opening will likely happen towards the end of September.”
