Letter: Gabriola Roads

Tuesday, December 27 2016

The next time you are driving around beautiful British Columbia notice the roads you are driving on. Then when you drive off the Gabriola ferry and arrive on Gabriola  notice the roads you are driving on.

It is not acceptable to have decades of no new paving. It is not acceptable to have to put up with mud all winter and dust all summer. It is not acceptable to have paved roads so bumpy with holes and asphalt that cars drive on the other side of the road to avoid the mess.

We on Gabriola deserve better, we are tax payers like all of our fellow British Columbians. There is no reason why we are driving on 3rd world roads.

I have e-mailed Mr. Stone  our Minister. He is the only person that can put the money into the budget to repave all the roads and to pave the gravel roads.

Please do your bit and e-mail Mr. Stone at todd.stone.MLA@leg.bc.ca.

Lets make Gabriola a safer, better place in 2017.
