Letter: Smoke screen on the road

Wednesday, October 16 2019

The other morning I set off to do my 10k run. Unfortunately for me, it was the first morning with a nip in the air and the wood stoves got fired up. I would have been better off if I had stayed at home and smoked a pack of cigarettes. So many people have their heads stuck in a 50-year-old time warp. I am willing to bet that the air quality at times is worse on Gabriola than in Nanaimo.

Mother Earth does not stand a chance. I thought Gabriola was full of educated and enlightened people. How do you explain to your children and grandchildren that you do not care? All these people marched for climate change.

How do you spell hypocrite?
