May is MS awareness month. All over Canada, communities hold walks in order to raise funds and awareness.

This year there will be a walk held on Gabriola, as well as the one in Nanaimo, on Sunday, May 24, 2015.

The Gabriola walk will start at Wild Rose Garden Centre, North Rd, and walkers will go to the Gabriola Elementary School parking lot, turn around there and go back to Wild Rose.

The walk is one kilometre in length and will take less than half an hour. Registration is at 10:30 a.m. and the walk starts at 11:00 a.m. Funds raised will go to research and support for people living with multiple sclerosis. Please come out and take part.  You can come with a donation on the day of the walk or go online and donate to the GabriolaMSWalk on the website www.mssociety.ca under the BC heading.

You can also just come and share some cookies at the end of the walk and show your support. Dogs on leash are welcome.
