Wed., April 30 - Ready, Set, Learn! At Gabriola Elementary from 1:30 to 2:45 p.m. for 3 and 4 year old children. It includes activities, stories and a take-home bag of educational materials.

Thurs., May 1 - Gabriola Garden Club is having it’s Annual General Meeting, Plant Exchange & veggie starts. Agi Hall. Doors open: 7:00 pm, Meeting: 7:30 pm. Everyone welcome.

Fri., May 2 - Victor Anthony – Covered in Blues. Doors 7:30, Downbeat 8pm. Gabriola Theatre Centre, 1475 Peterson Rd. A great night of acoustic blues. The show will include covers of favorites, more obscure numbers, and Victor’s original music. Tickets $15 - @ Artworks.

Come to the Gabriola Professional Centre on North Road between April 21 and June 13 to enjoy the watercolour paintings of Pam Tempelmayr of Whalebone Studio. Pam has been painting for more than 40 years and has assembled a collection of her many “story-within-story” paintings in her fish and whale series especially for display at the Centre. Works shown will include many paintings not previously seen on Gabriola Island.
